Last year Chris Mallory and I started performing with just a bass drum and the fife. I don’t like major changes and definitely didn’t know what to expect, but the crowds gave us standing ovations so that was my approval. God has really been showing out in my life. The beginning of February I toured with the Voices of Mississippi and toured with the Rising Stars the end of February. I didn’t know what sleep or a hot meal was, but touring in Africa during Black History month was a great experience. I appreciate all the prayers, encouragement, motivation and the love that was given. Now its time to kick my legs up, drink a glass of wine and thank God for bringing me through a wild and exciting month……..oh yeah the Rising Stars are now Grammy winners.

Another awesome night and a packed house with about 15,000 people. The energy was high tonight and of course the Rising Stars killed it…..again. Thanks to my crew for sticking with me.

Walking the streets in Senegal trying to do a little shopping and got stopped by the djembes. It was fun jamming with a local drummer. Next stop Guinea-Bissau .

Truly honored to represent our country. State. County. And city as the ONLY band from the United States to EVER play at the embassy’s national day event here in Africa!

Got to meet the US ambassador for Senegal for a very star studded red carpet event that ended their national independence day in a fireworks display! Met diplomats from many countries and got the chance to share our music with them.
